Selling Out Even Without Discs! GTA6 Physical Boxed Codes Starting to Sell Out Across Regions

With just over a month left until the official release of GTA6, its "physical edition"—the version with a download code inside the box—appears to have started selling out.

Over the past few days, retailers in multiple regions have shown this version as no longer available for preorder.

Among them, Amazon in the United States is the most notable. As of Sunday, October 11, the boxed code versions for both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S were unavailable for preorder, with the product pages showing "Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock."

In addition, several Target stores in densely populated areas of the United States have also sold out. Some stores still show "Ready on November 12," but stock varies by location; Los Angeles and New York have almost no stores with availability for preorder, displaying a note that "Preorders sold out."

While this could be a page error, Rockstar confirmed back in June that only a limited quantity of this version would be produced, with the official website clearly noting "available while supplies last." Whether more retailers will show it out of stock in the coming weeks is worth watching.
