GTA6 is described as the highest-investment game in AAA industry history. It is almost destined to become the most successful work ever, generating billions of dollars in revenue shortly after launch. Regarding the funding invested in this title, reports indicate that marketing expenses alone have already exceeded 150 million US dollars.

As part of the promotional work, Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two have reached partnerships with platforms such as Netflix. Rockstar had also originally planned to cooperate with the Miami city government to spread GTA6 advertisements across downtown Miami, but that plan now faces uncertainty.

According to the Miami Herald, several Miami-Dade County commissioners have publicly opposed the GTA6 outdoor advertising project. Commissioner Rene Garcia, while attacking the "Welcome to Vice City" billboard on the rooftop of the Kaseya Center, which cost 975,000 US dollars, stated that GTA6's overall marketing budget is at least 150 million US dollars.

In other areas of Miami, Rockstar agreed to spend up to 1.2 million US dollars to place six billboards. In addition, to obtain the qualification to promote in Miami Beach, Rockstar must pay 4 million US dollars to the local city.

It is currently unclear what the source of Rene Garcia's 150 million US dollar estimate is. However, for a game whose total overall cost may reach 1 billion US dollars or even more, this figure is not surprising.
